AutoRemote gives you unprecedented control and flexibility. You could, for instance, control your Android phone's Chrome Browser or PC using hundreds of web services like Facebook and Twitter. Or you can even control your Linux computer from any location. There are many options and you can choose what and how it works remotely.
Check out everything you can do with AutoRemote here: http://joaoapps.com/autoremote/what-it-is/
For a complete list of options, make sure to click on the AutoRemote button.
This video is a must-see for any AutoRemote user: http://goo.gl/RYCTh
Here's how it works.
AutoRemote Messages - You can send an AutoRemote message via a web browser from your desktop EventGhost Chrome Zapier, or anywhere you have the ability to call an URL
To respond to the message, create an AutoRemote profile within Tasker
You can do whatever you want with this message.

You can use device-to device and PC-to device messaging to control your device from any other device, or from your computer! You can also use the Tasker plugin for AutoRemote to send bidirectional messages!
Think of asking your smartphone's location, and having it shown on a map in your tablet or computer.
Android's regular Share menu allows you to directly share links and text with another Android device. For better viewing, imagine that you're watching a YouTube video from your smartphone. You can then open the YouTube video directly on your larger Tablet screen.
With AutoRemote you have advanced matching options and a flexible command system (see how it works here: http://goo.gl/PRQas). This works exactly like the joaomgcd's AutoBarcode application!
You can see many examples of AutoRemote use cases here, including how it saves lives and keeps you in touch with loved ones. http://goo.gl/3mFgz
AutoRemote has many uses. All of these are completely customizable. Any other commands or words can be used.
Are you unable to remember the exact location of your smartphone? Create a lost-my-phone command:
Send a "Where are you?" message to your phone. Tasker will respond with a repetitive I'm here! You could send a Where are you? message to your mobile phone, and Tasker will respond with an incessant I'm here! I;m here!.
When you leave work, let your wife make a shopping list.
AutoRemote can be used with any Tasker condition, such as Date and Time. Combine a Shop=:= and a 5PM command to create a shop=== condition. Share your AutoRemote URL and let your wife send you items she requires, such as shop=:=carrots or ice cream. Your phone will then announce, at 5PM, that you need to shop! It is time to get ice cream and carrots
Locate my phone:
You can send a command to your phone to locate it and get it to respond via AutoRemote or SMS.
There are many other possibilities! The only limit is your imagination!
